Haxby Group (HBG Ltd) is a company that is wholly owned and operated by the Partners of Haxby Group Practice, a large and successful GP Practice based on the Northern outskirts of York. Our mission is to provide you with a comprehensive, quality, caring service and we believe that healthcare is a partnership between the patient and the Practice. The aim of this website is to give you information about us, how we work and what we can offer to ensure that you get the best possible service and care. It also helps you to contact us with your questions and views and will, when the surgeries are open, allow you to order repeat prescriptions and make appointments. We are keen to hear your views and there are plenty of opportunities for you to do this in the pages of our site.
When we opened our Priory Road surgery on 5 Oct 09 we started with no patients registered at all, we aim to grow to roughly 5000 patients at each of our Hull surgeries over the next 5 years. Our catchment area is shown on the map on the Surgery Locations page. Although each surgery will have its own catchment area, once registered, patients will be able to attend any of the 3 sites as suits them for reasons of choice or to attend any special services that we will provide.
More details regarding the new surgery buildings and their facilities are in the other pages; each site will have excellent access facilities for the disabled.
In York we are a GP training Practice for both under-graduate students from the Hull & York Medical School and Postgraduates from the Yorkshire Deanery. We will be developing similar training for both trainee GPs and Medical Students at our Hull surgeries.
